I left Goldman Sachs to join Worldpay as the Head of Central Costs in May, 2012. In this role, I looked after the reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the non-revenue producing divisions of the company. In early 2014 I was promoted my current position, Group Head of Control, which combines my previous responsibilities with those of the newly-created role of Head of the Investment Office.
Worldpay operates a totally flexible working environment which means I’m able to balance work with my own personal commitments and projects. For example, just after I joined the company I bought a house next to Columbia Road flower market. It was a complete wreck and the renovating it took ages – we only finished last week. And as soon as it was, I bought my first car – a 1966 Morris Minor traveller that needs a lot of work just to get it roadworthy. I guess I like to be kept busy!
