Interchange rates are determined by the card schemes however it is not as simple as a "1 size fits all" charge. Many factors influence the applicable Interchange charge that is applied to a transaction such as the country of card issuance, country of the retailer, transaction method etc.

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

Collaborating with the wider business you will provide consultancy support to all areas impacted by Interchange developments providing guidance on management decisions to ensure commercially viable business decisions are taken. You will evaluate requirements and make recommendations for the various scheme mandatory changes in all countries in which Worldpay operates. You will identify and analyse Interchange changes, taking ownership of resolving any intolerances between expected and actual Interchange costs documenting your investigations. You will support ongoing projects with the review of any test outputs relating to interchange ensuring all updates are captured by the relevant teams. Through continuous process reviews and working collaboratively with your team you will look to identify better ways of working and drive continuous improvement.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You will either have already worked as an Analyst or are looking to start your professional career as a data-driven graduate with strong numerical skills. It’s also important that you are confident and have good communication skills as well as an ability to translate technical detail to a non-technical audience.  We would like you to have strong Excel or SQL skills and will be providing training to bring you up to speed with the level that the team is working on. A team player with great communication skills, resourceful, independent and self motivated are great attributes in this environment.
