Worldpay’s UK & EU Compliance Team is part of the Global Compliance function. The Compliance Team has global responsibility for all aspects of regulatory compliance across Worldpay. This includes a number of operational activities which need proactive oversight and management to ensure Worldpay meets its regulatory obligations.
You will be a key member of the Compliance Team, contributing to the development of a proactive and positive compliance culture within Worldpay.
How will you add value?
Based in our vibrant office in the heart of the City of London you will act as a compliance contact for key business functions. This will include coordinating and facilitating monthly check-in meetings with relevant business functions, attendance of key committees and dealing with ad hoc queries that may arise. You will proactively engage with the business to deliver on key activities within the Annual Compliance Plan and support in the development of new products and implementation of new processes.
You will support with the interpretation of regulatory rules relevant to Worldpay, making recommendations and working with the business to design and implement procedures to ensure compliance. And you’ll conduct regulatory compliance reviews of new high risk merchant relationships and periodic file reviews as required. You’ll also develop and maintain compliance related policies and procedures and support business functions to submit FCA regulatory reporting forms.
We would like you to assist the delivery of the Group-wide annual regulatory risk assessment to help identify, evaluate and review regulatory risks impacting the Worldpay Group. As part of your role you will also develop the second line Quality Assurance framework for the UK & EU line of business.
You’ll build effective relationships with senior management, managing and influencing key stakeholders across the business and collaborating with other teams as required. You will also participate in business initiatives and projects providing technical input to support the delivery of key strategic objectives. Finally you will be responsible for the delivery of compliance MI and maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory, industry specific, and Group related developments.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
You are a strong compliance expert operating at a senior level in an FCA regulated organisation. You bring detailed knowledge and understanding of the UK and EU regulatory regime, with material experience of interpreting and applying EU Regulations and Directives. You also have experience of the Payments industry and applicable regulatory regime, as well as a breadth of exposure to a variety of commercial environments. You thrive in leading on the design and delivery of Compliance Programmes in a regulated environment. Ideally you to have experience of regulatory regimes outside of the UK and EEA.
The team is looking for a proactive self-starter who is able to learn quickly and adapt to the dynamic environment at Worldpay. You are a great communicator and are able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders. Your project management skills enable you to work well under pressure and prioritise effectively. Being a strong collaborator with a positive outlook will make you a great addition to the team.
