How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?


Investigating and troubleshooting production system problems, you’ll be critical to both Worldpay’s and our customers ongoing success.


We want you to proactively identify improvements and enhancements to working practises and implement automation where possible. Providing 24/7 out of hours on call support on a rota basis, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and implementation of essential tasks including statistic gathering and maintaining document knowledge.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will enable you to implement application software releases into test and production environments. You’ll be an expert in in ITIL Service Management operational support and provide 2nd and 3rd line support using Apache/ Tomcat technologies and Java. You’ll thrive resolving incidents through designing and implementing coding solutions, whilst pursuing new ways to improve and extend a suite of monitoring dashboards to aid analysis activities.


Your experience must ideally lie in relational databases, preferably Oracle, with a good understanding of database design concepts. You can write TSQL comfortably and love optimizing database performance. You’ll have Unix experience and are able to write and read Shell Scripts to optimise tasks and implement automation.
