Why is our Country Manager role the next step for you?

As the commercial responsible for our China office, you will lead & coach the Business Development team and Relationship Management team. Your key objective is to grow the revenue in the China region by creating and developing new revenue streams and managing existing streams. You are accountable for overall relationship health, merchant advocacy.

In this position you will be the ‘face’ of Worldpay in China, assisting other teams including Product and Legal (and others) in their work in the region. Represent Worldpay China at key industry bodies and events; maintain a high profile with the China customer base.

You will deliver the China sales strategy in line with Worldpay’s global sales plan and identify and develop new market opportunities and build relationships with customers (current and prospective) growing revenues and raising Worldpay’s profile on a consistent basis.

Contributing to the development of sales processes, tools and capabilities in the China region based on best practices in order to contribute to an efficient and effective sales team. Developing portfolio strategy and structure that supports our growth ambitions in China and the region – covering portfolio management of customers, pricing & commercial strategy and product cross sell.

With our existing customers, you will develop long-term partnerships with senior contacts with a deep understanding of their business including their broader 2-3 year business agendas. Supporting the team in collaborating with customers to drive innovation in China and regional Fintech industry, developing our roadmap and a growing our market leading Worldpay value proposition.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You are a proven sales leader and are experienced in managing, leading and coaching commercial professionals within payments and acquiring industry. You have international experience, and a strong desire to be successful.

You will have notable knowledge of the global payments landscape with a specific understanding of the complexities of local Chinese requirements and regulations.

Act as a thought leader to shape the future of our business and customer proposition.

You are forward thinking, and a passionate team player, seamlessly collaborating with customers and internal teams to build better solutions. It would be beneficial to have Mandarin language skills, however this is not mandatory. You are fluent in both Mandarin and English.
