Our teams are expert in Airlines, Digital Content, Regulated Gambling, Retail and Travel, which is why they’ve become many a business’ go-to guru for advice on growth. Our Optimisation team work closely with businesses to fine tune their payment set-up. Given we manage 15 billion transactions annually, even small adjustments to how they’re configured can generate significant results.
How will you add value on a day-today basis?
You’ll use the scale of our data and technical expertise to identify and develop optimisation opportunities for customers. To do this effectively you’ll need to combine best practice and smart analysis to recommend optimal processing parameters. Variables can include geographic routing, security and liability options, additional data, and MCC (Merchant classification category).
You will be responsible for in-depth assessments of our largest customer configurations! You’ll improve transaction acceptance rates, interchange and scheme fees and other transaction processing costs. And you’ll produce insights from the interrogation of performance data and create value-balanced optimisation review packs. You will present these packs to both Relationship Managers and external customers!
Working with other areas within Worldpay you’ll implement recommendations and contribute to new customer setup proposal checks. You’ll maintain a library of optimisation techniques and opportunities to guide other team members. You’ll also train commercial and implementation teams in optimisation to develop their knowledge and understanding. In order to stay result orientated you will track and report the effectiveness of changes.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
You’ll have worked in an analytical role where you’ll have manipulated and summarised data using SQL, Excel and dashboard functionalities. We would like you to have excellent presentation skills in order to communicate and influence trends and business solutions to senior management.
One of your key stakeholders will be the sales team and you will need to develop great working relationships with them in order to become their trusted adviser. It will really help if you can translate technical details to them. If you are a self-starter you will thrive in our fast paced and result orientated environment. You’ll also have strong planning skills to ensure deadlines are hit and your attention to detail will enable great quality control. Having payment industry knowledge would be hugely beneficial to be successful in this exciting role!
