The Customer Disputes and Chargebacks unit based in Gateshead, is an integral part of the Worldpay business, supporting both Streamline and eCom customers with all aspects of payment dispute processing. Over 1.7 million disputes are handled per annum with a total value of almost £300m and the department is recognised within the industry as providing world class chargebacks expertise to customers and delivery of fast and efficient operational processes.

The teams within the department undertake predominantly back office operational functions, handling large volumes of both paper and disputes cases and deploying bespoke industry knowledge to ensure these are processed accurately and efficiently.

How will you add value on a day to day basis?

You’ll provide clear direction and effective co-ordination of a team to deliver a high quality and efficient performance and a great customer experience. We’re looking for a team manager who’ll find continuous improvement and drive efficiencies in both services and processes. Through effective coaching and monitoring you’ll guide and support a team to perform at the highest standard.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

As part of the Customer Disputes department, you’ll need to be a team player and be part of a collective all striving to achieve business objectives. You’ll proactively drive cross functional teamwork and take collective responsibility.

Our Team Managers embrace the transformation journey. You’ll be an advocate of this change and support your people through this process. You need to demonstrate a receptive approach to new ideas.

You’ll need to be able to communicate and engage with your team, maximising their performance and translating business goals in a meaningful and innovative way.

The hours for this role will cover up to 8.30pm, 5 days per week, with flexibility and potential for change dependent on business needs.
