Significant and continued growth of our Global eCommerce Business requires the support of accurate, insightful and actionable financial information. Reporting directly to the divisional CFO you will oversee all aspects of Commercial Business Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis and financial control. You will drive continuous improvement through application of best practice financial management, policies, procedures and controls.



What can I expect to be doing on a day to day basis?


Lead and develop all aspects of end-to-end financial planning and analysis to include gross profit projections and performance analysis, operational cost. Deliver quarterly forecasts and annual budgets ensuring these are subject to appropriate challenge and analysis, and that there is clear accountability for delivery of these plans. Identify, and drive to implementation, radical improvements to the (performance of) management information, and financial processes and systems, including development of the FP&A function and monthly / quarterly financial close process. Implement a best practice financial and operational control environment which medium term will satisfy SOX requirements. Oversee establishment of a local 5yr business planning process, dovetailing with Group as part of the normal financial cycle including functionality for scenario modelling model of the core business as well as disruptive overlay opportunities.

Build strong working relationships with the MD, executive Board and key Group Stakeholders including Group Finance, Finance Operations and specialist functions including Tax and Treasury. Own KPI reporting and monitor performance of the business against KPI’s. Develop expertise in the range of sales and activity based KPI’s used to manage the business and provide insight on underlying trends affecting key KPI’s on a daily and weekly basis. Support on ad hoc projects as required including M&A. Recruit, lead, motivate, develop and manage the performance of direct reports, building a high performance team. Build strong working relationships with the executive Board and key Group Stakeholders


What will make me right for the role?


You will be a fully qualified finance professional able to confidently demonstrate previous leadership of a commercial finance function exposed to significant and complex revenue channels. Confident and passionate in your communication style, you should have significant experience coaching and developing high performing teams. Detailed experience of driving an FP&A function and a track record of process change and process improvement.

You will be comfortable dealing with large scale change initiatives and confident of your ability to drive projects to conclusion. Commercial acumen is essential as is the ability to hold senior level stakeholder meetings providing high quality recommendations to improve commercial decision making. You will be adept in your networking skills with an ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of non financial colleagues. Credibility at Exec level is an important quality sought for this position.
