At the heart of this is our large Hadoop based Enterprise Data Platform that will be used to provide data insights both to our internal teams and our customers. The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) is an innovative use of “Big Data” technologies to provide powerful analytic capabilities for Worldpay. For this, we currently use two Hadoop clusters in a HA and DR configuration with an expansion plan to many hundred nodes; based on the Hortonworks Data Platform.
The primary purpose of the role is to design, build, deploy and improvement of all internal and external regular analytical reporting functionality. In this capacity, you will be required to contribute to the extension of the group reporting and visualisation capabilities using Tableau, driving towards the strategic objective of making reports more visually appealing and engaging through use of interactive dashboards.
How will you add value on a day-today basis?
Working as an integral part of the Data Visualisation team, you will be creating and maintaining a suite of best in class Tableau dashboards that meet the reporting needs for internal stakeholders and customers. You will manage new Tableau functionalities and drive implementation of new and better dashboards as & when appropriate. You will be responsible for enhancing current reporting outputs, moving them from the legacy MS Office based approach to Tableau providing enhanced visualisation & usability. You will also be responsible for all Tableau dashboards are rigorously tested, documented and quality controlled to deliver the most accurate and compelling outputs for internal stakeholders and customers.
On a given day, you may find yourself in a leading role for developing and distributing a series of world class reporting and visualisations for internal and external customers. You will identify opportunities for improving efficiency of the end-to-end reporting and data visualisation processes, subsequently contributing to their implementation. You will support the reporting and data visualisation agenda across the business, contributing to best practice for Tableau reporting and data visualisation. You will be a key point of contact for Tableau functionality queries and provide innovative suggestions to support business requests. You will not only ensure reporting processes are robust and deliver the required reports and data visualisations in line with agreed SLA’s; but also, define processes & security controls to be adopted by all users of the reports and data visualisations.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
You will possess substantial experience in dashboard design using recent Tableau versions. You will also extensive track record of delivering analytical or reporting solutions using Tableau. You will have knowledge and experience of implementing new dashboards and improving existing dashboards. You will also be able to demonstrate how to build and maintain a suite of high quality Tableau dashboards. You will have a proven track record of implementing Tableau data processes to overcome difficult business processes and none the less experienced in building easily usable high quality scalable and robust reporting processes and outputs. Technically, you will have experience on:
• Report Development – ability to design, build and publish design visualisations using Tableau
• Data visualisation design and modelling expertise in Tableau
• Design and coding skills for report design, build and automated production
• Expert knowledge and experience of Tableau development, debugging, tuning and optimisation; running code across large, high transaction volume databases in a fast-paced, production environment
• SQL coding experience
