This role will be home based, targeting new clients in the Corporate sector. The key purpose of the role is to deliver the regional targets for boarded sales against an already well-defined corporate strategy and to develop & drive trusted relationships with sales channels in order to maximise sales. The role will be covering the CB, PE, SG, LU, AL, HP and SL postcodes. 

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

As a Corporate Sales Manager you will manage a defined territory, selling our solutions to clients in the £1m to £50m card turnover range. You will be tasked with generating new business following up on self generated leads and referrals - although you will also benefit from around 30% of your meetings being generated for you through our various marketing initiatives and lead channels. Critical to your success will be the ability to ask the right questions and to deploy ‘active listening skills’ that allow you to build an understanding of your clients’ issues.

We have a wide range of solutions with the central function of taking card payments (POS, eCommerce, contactless, anti-fraud, direct currency conversion etc.) that can deliver real value to our customers – it’s your role to effectively uncover their requirements and to match the most appropriate solution to the situation. This is a role that balances high activity levels with a value led, solutions oriented sales process. Clients will be in a variety of sectors including retail, hospitality, and leisure etc. – essentially anyone who wants to take a card payment.

We are looking for our new Corporate Sales Manager to be a needs based consultative seller who are looking to take our customers into the future – not just selling products but planning how we can help them with future innovation and technology. You will be a ‘Digital Native’, looking at innovation and insight outside of our industry so you can talk to our customers in an intelligent, informative way, share knowledge and differentiate us from our competitors. You will be adaptable and agile in your approach to various decision makers across your client base.  The role of the CSM does not stop at point of sale either.  There will be various internal departments you may need to engage with in order to get the client live and transacting.  The ability to effectively communicate with the client to ensure the on boarding journey is a smooth one is critical to success. You will build strong relationships with various Worlpday teams (risk, boarding, legal, marketing, financial crime, CDD, implementation)  as well as possible third parties the client may involve to project manage the move to Worldpay.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You will bring previous experience of success in a field based sales role. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct a value led solutions sales process and to effectively manage a sale from initial lead generation through to close. You will bring intelligence, ambition, energy and a results focused mind-set. You may have sold similar solutions in the past, although this is not a pre-requisite. We are most interested in solid sales skills and the appropriate attitude.
