Coordination and communication of innovations, operational and infrastructure updates, project developments, security awareness etc requires a core communications strategy, key message setting and channel delivery. You will engage with significant key business partners including the CIO, Chief of Staff and HR Director to create, shape and implement a communications strategy for Technology.

What can you expect to be doing on a day to day basis?

As part of the Group Communications Team you will remain up to date on all other areas (as technology impacts all that we are) keeping aware of all key themes and messages. You will set out a key message register for Technology using this register across all Tech Channels as well as to inform the Group message framework. Supporting colleagues through change, you will contribute towards achievement of the TOM for Technology and the promotion of a engineering-led culture. You will own all timetabled communications activities including update emails, monthly management team calls, monthly innovation team talks etc. At the heart of our business we are rolling out a new acquiring platform to manage all transactional activity - the strategy around messaging for this platform (called NAP internally) will fall within your remit as we move to a BAU status.

What will make me right for the role?

A successful track record in internal communications, including the development of key messages, senior stakeholder engagement, channel development and content creation

An understanding of change communications and the fundamental concepts of agile working in an engineering-led environment, for example such as scrums and DevOps

Understanding of business issues at a strategic level

Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

Maturity and credibility to operate at the most senior level

Analytically and commercially aware
