As we continue to grow and partner with more organisations the Credit team must ensure robust risk based decision making for Small to Medium Enterprises who apply to use our services. You will directly support with the risk assessment for both new business applications as well as reviewing existing merchants ensuring risk of loss to Worldpay is minimised.
How will you add value?
As a Credit Investigator you will be responsible for undertaking risk assessments of new merchants and assisting with the continued review of our existing customer portfolio. You will be gathering and collating all relevant financial and non-financial information needed to complete a credit review. This role will require lots of internal and external relationship management, either liaising with the sales team for new applications or going directly to the merchant when monitoring an existing relationship. You’ll be reviewing, anaylsing and highlighting any pertinent credit risks weighing up any merchant potential loss to Worldpay, before a decision is made. Once the decision has been approved, either by yourself or by a Designated Authority within the team, this will need to be communicated back to the relevant parties.
What will make me right for the role?
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to make their first step into Credit Risk. You must have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines without this affecting your ability to produce clear and concise reports. You’ll be comfortable interpreting financial accounts so a numeracy related degree would be beneficial. A keen eye for detail is essential. You must have the confidence and assurance to manage difficult conversations, both internally and externally, in communicating credit risk decisions which may be unfavorable.
