How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework. This includes continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing. You will ensure highly complex testing on the payment gateways which is built using Selenium and Java.

You will be taking ownership of prioritising your own tasks and ask for help when we need it. Day-to-day work includes test writing, bug solutions, reporting and performing code reviews whilst working closely with our engineers.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

This position requires a self-motivated individual who can collaborate in a fast-paced environment despite incomplete specifications and minimal direct supervision. You must have strong experience of test automation using Selenium with Java within Agile environments. We are looking for someone with practical experience of Agile testing methodologies – BDD, TDD, Exploratory Testing etc. and an in depth knowledge of software testing procedures.

You will have technical testing experience, with the ability to create test automation frameworks using open source technologies (example; Selenium, Cucumber). You will also have experience of using any Continuous Integration tools (Team City, Hudson, Jenkins etc.), version control solutions (GIT, SVN etc.) and Build tools (e.g. Maven, Make). You will be responsible for making decisions, often with limited information and communicating these to others within development/test. None the less, has done reviewing with existing procedures and systems looking for improvements.
