Our UK Analytics team provide a combination of data and insights that help Worldpay UK predict and forecast future anticipated performance enabling business leadership to make effective data driven decisions. Engaging your SQL skills to interrogate and analyse the raw data, you will own the reporting for our bespoke forecasting tool, troubleshoot unusual trends, provide insightful commercial explanations behind movements, recommend areas for deeper exploration and support the Head of Analytics.
What can I expect to be doing on a day to day basis?
Driving the output of the team whilst continuously improving the quality of the analytics produced you will assist the business towards achievement of EBITDA targets. Feeding in to the Financial and Commercial Business Partnering teams you will help ensure that the right relevant reports are produced to an appropriate level of regularity and always to the highest level of accuracy. You will critically evaluate the value of the outputs removing redundant reporting to focus on the impactful reporting and analysis. You will monitor and maintain the bespoke forecasting tool ensuring that colleagues are suitably equipped mentally and technically to deliver the data necessary to evaluate the insights. You will produce non-technical reports for non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner delivering these as presentations and responding to queries/challenges.
What will make me right for the role?
You will have at least 2 years of analytical experience having used SQL (with a capability of reading and writing code) to interrogate large data sets. We are looking for a confident communicator with an ability to take large complex data and summarise key trends and themes in simple non-technical terms. Your time and project management capabilities will enable to junior Analysts to keep on track for presentation deadlines and ensure they are a success.
