Our Collections function services customers from all markets including Airlines, Travel, Retail, and Gambling. It is much more than picking up the phone to collect money, we operate in a regulated environment, and therefore treating our valued customers fairly is at the heart of everything we do.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You will responsible for motivating and developing a team of 12 collections SME’s to deliver strategies for our corporate customer base. You will manage and oversee the project delivery of new platforms integration, systems and process changes across the wider collections teams. In doing so you’ll focus on strategy development and planning for cash collection, and bad debt reduction and customer service focusing on compliance and policy, and KPI monitoring to ensure a continuous focus on BACS compliance. Working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships, resolve customer queries and ultimately ensuring the protection against loss to Worldpay via the reduction in the bad debt provision.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
Ideally, you will have end-to-end collections experience within a target driven, changing environment and proven experience of managing a team. You will have an appetite to manage and develop people at various stages of their career. Preferably you would have worked in a payments or financial services environment, with experience of managing change and implementing change processes to increase departmental output. You should have gained experience of working within regulated environments (e.g. FCA) and also have some had exposure to risk management and any legislation impacting Collections. Additionally, you should be able to collate data and produce reporting and MI.
