The Collections team supports many processes from Billing, Direct Debit Rejects to Dissolved, Insolvency and Legal Recoveries.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Corporate Client accounts and leading a team of 4 Legal and Insolvency professionals and one DCA (debt collection agency) Team Manager to mitigate the risk of bad debt exposure across a customer base of over 340,000. This is a crucial role in contributing towards Worldpay's collections and business strategy to minimise our exposure to material loss.
How will you add value on a day to day basis?
You will be responsible for developing and maintain a robust Global risk remediation strategy, underpinning a clear escalation process for the wider Collections team with a focus on minimising bad debt provisioning and efficient cash recovery. You will be a primary contact for liquidation, bankruptcy, administration and receivership enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. You will utilise influencing skills and technical knowledge to optimise the outcome of insolvency situations for Worldpay. You will work closely with a variety of senior stakeholders, both in the UK and internationally to support the wider collections and billings team ensuring the protection against loss to Worldpay via the reduction in the bad debt provision. You will be responsible for devising a delivering strategies that mitigate potential loss.

You will have an insolvency background and experience of Recoveries or Debt Collections within a corporate environment. An accomplished people leader who can drive the team to deliver objectives in a fast paced, pressurised environment. This is a high profile role with a level of interaction across the business. You must be able to demonstrate great stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You will have experience of producing reporting and Management Information with the ability to provide clear insight and evidence critical thinking to support recommendations. You will undertake all these tasks whilst operating in line with FCA, DPA and Banking Code regulations.
