Accounts Payable Assistant

The Purchase to Pay team based in Manchester are responsible for providing a first class service to both internal and external customers, paying our suppliers accurately and on time. The team are responsible for processing invoices, resolving supplier queries and ensuring business compliance whilst maintaining a good control environment at all times.
How will you add value on a day to day basis?
As an Accounts Payable Assistant you’ll be responsible for invoice processing including three way matching, invoice holds and payment enquiries across multiple ledgers. You will also complete monthly statement reconciliations, management of daily post, document retention, invoice scanning and other general administrative tasks as and when required.
You will be the first contact point for invoice query from both internal and external stakeholders to support accurate and timely invoice matching and any supplier query resolution.
You will undertake all these tasks whilst operating in line with Worldpay policies and compliance to purchase order systems.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
We are looking for a confident self-starter; things are always changing here at Worldpay so you must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced business. Technically, we are looking solid numerical skills, a good working knowledge of online banking systems and proven experience of making online payments and statement reconciliations, any experience of reporting and advance Excel skills are advantageous. You should be able to manage and prioritise your time effectively and be able to work autonomously and as a part of the team. You will have excellent communication skills to be able to develop relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
