What does the role involve?
You will help develop, lead and deliver key strategic initiatives, primarily supporting the Retail vertical growth team. You will plan, coordinate and manage a diverse range of eCommerce projects. These projects will frequently involve an analytical component and will also require engagement with critical stakeholders from across the business, e.g.: Global eCommerce Executive team, Vertical Strategists (Airlines, Travel, Gambling, Digital Content & Global Retail), Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing & Demand Generation, Product Management and Delivery. This is a UK based role but will incorporate regular contact with all priority markets and regions including US, EMEA, LATAM and APAC. You can expect to travel around 2-3 times a year to our regional offices and intercontinental events and conferences.
You will be driving firm-wide implementation of key strategic projects (such as entering new markets); progressing product and marketing initiatives (such as launching new products) and supporting delivery of Sales, Operations and Technology programs (such as refreshing the go-to-market proposition).
What will make you the ideal candidate?
It is crucial for this team to bring someone in with Retail experience. You will either have worked directly on the retail merchant side or within management consultancy focusing on the retail industry. Having worked on the eCommerce side within retail would be a huge plus as well. We are also looking for someone who has an analytical and strategic mindset with strong project management skills. You will have the ability to develop, lead and execute complex initiatives while also being able to condense concepts into simple presentations. You are a confident communicator and networker, with good influencing skills.
You have been central to wide-ranging strategic decision-making processes and are comfortable making choices and assessing trade-offs. You are a natural collaborator with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally. While payments knowledge is ideal, we are more interested in your retail experience and strategic mind-set.
