In this role, you will be responsible for providing analysis to support decision making on how we specify, support and take to market our technology product development, for Gateway 2.0 and Worldpay Online Payments.
The Online Payments service allows small- to medium sized e-commerce businesses in the UK and worldwide to start accepting payments from their website within hours.
The Worldpay API provides a modern Restful JSON API and simplified integration for large corporate customers worldwide.
Gateway 2.0, our new elastically scalable payment gateway for eCommerce giants, will provide intelligent routing and improved data-driven payment outcomes using reactive frameworks and distributed data to deliver next generation non-functional requirements.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You will be responsible for sourcing and analysing data, understanding business and product visions, as well as champion our vision in your interactions with business units across the organisation. You’ll understand and document ‘as is’ processes, capabilities, functionality, constraints and gaps, understand and define key questions and decisions, as well as identify the research or analysis that supports. You’ll be responsible for communicating recommendations to support key decisions, elicit requirements and specify requirements and acceptance criteria.
Participating in Agile ceremonies is part of the role, as well as working with Product Owners to give input to Backlog refinement and management. You will support new process definition and documentation, as well as manage stakeholders to secure agreement.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
Business analysis experience, as well as data analysis and modelling skills. You will have experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping, 80/20 and problem solving. Strong stakeholder management skills is key to the success in this role, as well as great written and verbal communication and the ability to produce high quality documentation. Experience working in an Agile environment is ideal, as well as payments industry or fintech knowledge. It is also advantageous if you have experience with Jira, customer migration management at scale, specification by example and behavioural driven development approaches.
