Being part of Group Strategy, you will have a real impact on the payment propositions we’ll be offering in the near future covering all 3 business units within the Worldpay Group; Worldpay UK, Worldpay US and Global eCommerce.

In this unique role you’ll lead on revolutionary new developments and next wave of payments; you will work cross functional, being the primary interface with Group Technology Engineering (GTE) and 3rd party engineering teams.

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

You will research and maintain a view of customer needs, market trends and competitive position, consolidate customer- and business requirements, define new product propositions. More concrete you will capture and define product requirements for Account to Account payments initiation, execution and other value added services.

Moreover you will define and translate access and integration models of banks and banking clearing and settlement networks into powerful real time payment propositions for our customers.

You will be comfortable to participate, provide strategic insight and influence in technical industry and standardisation committees covering banking clearing and settlement systems and real time transactional banking services.

You’ll provide cross functional leadership & customer advocacy for new product developments, work with product leads across all 3 business units, manage project teams as primary contact, defining and delivering against the product roadmap, interpreting the needs of the business into new capabilities, support decision-making and development prioritisation via thorough analysis and recommendations.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

You are a payment expert with strong experience of Faster Payments, RTGS and other real time payment schemes. You have a technical background and strong understanding of different payments systems (e.g. ACH, CHAPS, SWIFT, BACS, SEPA) and knowledge of liquidity management and back office processing of bank payments. You have an understanding of  ISO 20022 and other financial messaging standards.  You will have a strong understanding of the funding and business models applied by banks for real time transaction banking. Previously you will have worked in either a bank or service provider environment to banks as a Product Manager.

Besides strong analytical skills and methodological way of working, you will have excellent communicative skills (concise and direct) and experience of influencing a broad range of decision makers and stakeholders.
