Working as part of our growing Collections and Recoveries function is much more than picking up the phone to collect money. It's the way in which we work which is key, we operate in a regulated environment, therefore "treating customers fairly" is at the heart of everything we do. The team supports many processes from Billing, Direct Debit Reject's to Dissolved, Insolvency and Legal Recoveries. This is all in addition to the traditional picking up the phone to collect cash.

 

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

As Collections Advisor will work alongside existing staff members and manage a set of accounts with a strong focus on cash collection / aged debt clearance.  You will build effective internal and external business relationships and be responsible for contacting merchants, cash allocation, setting up direct debits and undertaking query management. You will undertake all these tasks whilst operating in line with FCA, DPA and Banking Code Regulations.

 

What will make you the ideal candidate?

Ideally, you will have gained experience working in a similar role within a fast paced environment. You will have a good working knowledge of Excel and be comfortable with working in a high volume environment. You will be a confident communicator who can prioritise and manage their time effectively to adhere to deadlines. You will have some knowledge of credit control and it is desirable for you to have previous experience of working in a regulated environment.
