The Data & Insights team sits at the heart of the Worldpay UK business, shaping our marketing and customer strategy with insight derived from customer data. We know that our customer data is a hugely valuable asset and this role will be key to ensuring we are maximising its potential value by constantly seeking out opportunities from our data to work smarter and more effectively. We have made significant investments in our data capabilities over the last year putting in place leading edge big data tools and platforms and this role will be at the forefront of starting to leverage them for the UK business. How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
The Lead Insight Analyst will act as a focal point for analysis and insight for the marketing and customer teams in Worldpay UK. We’re looking for someone who can blend their technical, statistical skills with an insightful and commercial mind set. On a day to day basis you will be stitching together and interrogating data or devising solutions that allow the business to use data to deliver value. You will be meeting with the marketing, sales and product teams to understand their priorities and to scope analysis projects that will inform their activity and plans.
You will be working with the data scientists and insight analysts within the team to collaborate on larger pieces of work and to use your experience to help develop the insight and data science capability within Worldpay UK. You will be working closely with the Head of Consumer Insight on supporting with key customer engagements and help to shape the insights product roadmap. This is a very varied role that mixes the day to day hands-on data work with the need to articulate analysis for stakeholders and customers.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
First and foremost you must be able to understand data intuitively. You will be able to understand which approach or statistical technique is most effective when working with different types of data and business problems. You will be able to interrogate, analyse and model data and then articulate to the business why what you are showing them is important. These skills will be married to a constantly inquisitive approach to finding out what value our data can hold for the business. You will be relentless in seeking out ways for the business to work more effectively with data and you will act as a thought leader for the teams to turn to when they are shaping their plans.
You must be commercially focused, always thinking about how you can show tangible business benefit from your work and resilient enough to deal with the demands placed on you and your team. You will be a great collaborator and be adept at working across functions and hierarchies to deliver work, often where there are competing priorities. Ultimately we are looking for someone who is passionate about data; someone who has the technical ability to exploit it and the communication skills to put data at the heart of our decision making.
