Why is our Sales Optimisation team the next step for you?

The Sales Optimisation team is the ‘pit crew’ that keeps our SME Sales force running at pace. We help to drive sales by generating insights through forecasting and analytics, monitoring sales quality and managing the technology and tools used by the sales teams.

In this newly created role you will drive the sales pipeline for our SME and small corporate customers – those businesses with revenues of up to £1 million and £10 million respectively. The Sales Optimisation team sit within our SME Sales function and take a data-driven approach to shaping business development with the UK. Working in close collaboration with sales colleagues and the wider Worldpay UK (WPUK) division, you’ll be an integral part of the team that works hard to continuously improve the sales experience for our customers whilst also driving value for Worldpay.

How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?

You’ll be tasked with thinking creatively to develop successful strategies that generate leads for our telesales and field sales colleagues. You’ll work smart to help us identify which UK businesses are best placed to benefit from our products and services. And you’ll use data and insights to map unique pools of businesses whose payment needs we can support.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

•You’ll be a proven self-starter with experience in the payments industry and ideally come from a SME / Corporate background

•Exposure to the development of nation-wide contact strategies, specifically cold call sales initiatives

•Experience in segmentation and analysis of the UK SME and small corporate B2B marketplace & use of market data to drive sales strategies

•Experience working across a variety of sales channels (field-based, telesales and online) to develop compelling messages that leverage the advantages of each channel

•Understanding and knowledge of the card payments industry

•Demonstrates a strong ability to analyse problems and generate actionable insights

•Strong verbal and written communication skills
