Accounts Payable Lead

This is a newly created role working in the Manchester Business Support Centre.
The Purchase to Pay team are responsible for providing a first class service to both internal and external customers, paying our suppliers accurately and on time.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable supervisor to ensure accounts payable processes are controlled and completed in line with Worldpay policies, increase business compliance and drive continuous process improvement whilst providing an excellent customer service to our stakeholders.
How will you add value on a day to day basis?
As an Accounts Payable lead you will be responsible for much more than just Accounts Payable you will help to drive the delivery of the strategic objectives of the Purchase to Pay team including looking at audit controls and risk around the process.
You will have proven experience of extracting and producing KPI reporting and data and be able to articulate and present the insights from the data.
You will also be pragmatic in using data to look for operational improvements and efficiencies and identifying areas of continuous improvement.
You will undertake all these tasks whilst operating in line with Worldpay policies and compliance to purchase order systems.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
Technically, this role requires a good working knowledge of online banking systems and proven experience of AP invoice processing, three way matching and payment enquiry across multiple ledgers.
You will have excellent Microsoft Office skills including advance Excel, solid numerical skills with experience of Excel reporting and dashboards. Any previous Oracle experience will be advantageous.
You must have excellent communication skills to be able to develop relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
To be successful, the role requires the ability to work across multiple systems and to problem solve, manage and prioritise your time effectively meeting SLAs/KPIs.
