Worldpay is a fast moving dynamic progressive FTSE100 business operating in the FinTech sector. As a market leader within the Payments Industry almost 1 in 2 of all card based transactions in the UK flow through our systems. Our Financial Accounting Team based in our Manchester office is looking to hire several smart, spirited and supportive part qualified accountants to join our team with the right level of ambition to move up the ranks in line with your route to qualification and beyond.
What can I expect to be doing on a day to day basis?
Split across the three positions we are looking to hire, you can expect to be gain exposure to all (or some) of the following areas in the delivery of your day to day tasks:
Accrual and Prepayment preparations – including P&L review
Reconciliation of multi-currency bank accounts
Journal preparation and posting
Intercompany transaction processing
Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and preparation
Month end close activities
Ad hoc tasks and projects
What will make me right for the role?
You will be a recent school leaver or graduate who has already embarked on the path towards achieving an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA). With an outgoing personality and a high level of analytical capability you will also have a real attention to detail. You should be adept at explaining financial activity to non-finance colleagues and an ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements.

On a typical day, we process 36 million mobile, online and in-store transactions – that’s about 415 each and every second. In 2015 we handled c.13.1bn transactions, supporting c.400,000 customers, 126 currencies, 146 countries, and over 300 payment methods. We are the leader in payments in the UK, where we process approximately 42% of all transactions.
Our solutions are delivered by nearly 5,000 colleagues from our corporate headquarters in London and 25 offices in 11 countries around the world.
