The Product Management team is responsible for Worldpay’s eCommerce products. The team is focused on building and maintaining best-in-class products, capabilities and services to support our global eCommerce customer’s needs. Our GPP vision is to provide the most relevant, reliable and straight-forward global payments experience, helping customers access more consumers, driving profitable growth. The product manager will be central to this vision.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
Worldpay’s new Product Manager is important to delivering our Global Payment Products’ (GPP) proposition. You will define our global customers’ requirements, demonstrate significant industry experience and act as the central point of contact for a portfolio of payment methods.
You will help define the strategy for Worldpay’s alternative payment methods by building an integrated view of customer needs, market trends and competitive position as well as assessing customer and business requirements. You can also expect to identify areas of commercial value; define product propositions built on solid business cases; develop a product roadmap and translate changes into change requests.
Another key part of the role is providing cross functional leadership and customer advocacy for new product developments. You will succeed in this by helping the Director to deliver a clear product vision, interpreting the needs of the business into new capabilities and support decision-making and prioritisation via thorough analysis and recommendations
You will continuously enable the organisation with the knowledge and tools to drive commercial success by delivering a clear go-to-market strategy and transferring product expertise across the organisation through product training. This will include leading the development of product marketing such as sales toolkits and technical documentations as well as up-to-date product information on our internal channels. You will also be the primary commercial contact for commercial teams, across a portfolio of over 300 alternative payment methods.. You will maintain advanced knowledge of trends in the eCommerce payment industry through your own network and attend and present on behalf of Worldpay at industry tradeshows/events.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
To be successful in this role we are looking for a payments industry expert with a track record in developing products and services. You will be an excellent influencer who enjoys working with functional areas across an organisation including sales, operations, delivery and technology teams. You will also have first-class commercial and analytical skills and be comfortable presenting to customers and internal teams. In order to hit the ground running you will have knowledge of the global payments landscape and have hands-on experience in alternative payment methods area, with a detailed understanding of the transaction processing lifecycle.
You will also have in-depth experience working with payment providers and delivering capabilities for large cross-border eCommerce merchants.
In order to adapt with Worldpay’s products quickly you will need the ability to work effectively in complex technical detail and also aggregate key points in a direct, impactful manner for non-technical and executive audiences. Finally financial acumen and analytical skills will help you to support decision-making processes and project management knowledge will increase your ability to work cross-functionally.
