As a Team Lead, you will lead by example by being a pro-active, hard working, delivery focused and self-driven individual while driving a culture of continuous improvement and self development.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You will be responsible for a team of between 5 to 10 employees, involved in planning, organising and leading the design, development and delivery of Java- based components for NAP. You will be responsible for developing and releasing code into a mission critical environment adhering to best practice development and migrating procedures thereby ensuring source code management practices are adhered to. You will develop and maintain release, deployment procedures and tools for your team’s artefacts.
You will be responsible for reviewing and approving architecture and design documents, as well as be involved in reviewing developers’ code and create a peer review culture. You will collaborate with the delivery of functionality with various key stakeholders; Program Management, Defect Management, PMO and Testing and also production implementation and go-live support.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
Extensive experience in the design and development ofJava technologies (up to version 8) and prior team lead experience is key to the success of this role. You will have experience delivering, complex integration, service based (REST/SOA), highly concurrent, multi-database, distributed, high throughput, highly available architectures and performance tuning and optimisation.
You will also have worked with Cucumber, Maven, Jenkins, Gerrit, Nexus, Git, flyway, liquibase, Spring, hibernate, aka, MQ/JMS or similar. Experience of Oracle Weblogic/Tomcat, Unix/Linux, Oracle 12C environments are also ideal.
You will have experience working on large scale, mission critical applications, as well as be aware of principles of security design. You will have worked on enterprise level development projects and knowledge of PCI is a bonus. Experience of transitioning from Waterfall to an Agile methodology is also ideal.
